I never realized it was kinda the same riff as - GREG KIHN BAND-"THE BREAKUP SONG"(THEY DON'T WRITE 'EM) until after we recorded it. But wither way, the Greg Kihn tune is pretty good tune, I got no problem being compared to them at all. This was a song about never being asked to do favors, just being volunteered and having to do things your dreaded and hated, to make the masses happy.
lyrics
I dont know whatever happened or where I went wrong
Same old shit I told before a road so very long
I’ll never know exactly where it takes me
I’d like to say I’d see you there, and you’d always know me
I don’t know what to do
And I don’t know where to go
And no one ever asked me if I wanted to be in the show
I am sick of this broken heart and I am tired of this empty soul
I just wound up in the spot light, I just showed up on stage
Trying to remember all my lines without looking on the page,
But I am reading from the cue cards, even as we speak
I still don’t have a clue of what the hell happened to me?
I don’t know what to do
And I don’t know where to go
And no one ever asked me if I wanted to be in the show
I am sick of this broken heart and I am tired of this empty soul
No one ever asked me, if I wanted to be in the show
